November 2008 – Leading broker-only insurer, MMA Insurance plc (MMA), has today announced the appointment of Martin Scarrett to the newly created role of Head of Personal Lines Underwriting.

Scarrett, previously the company’s Household Underwriting Manager, will have full responsibility for the management and performance of MMA's Personal Lines portfolio, embracing Home, Private Car, Travel and Personal Accident product lines.

John Seaton, Underwriting Director of MMA, said: “We continue to focus on developing profitable Personal Lines accounts offering brokers relevant products and responsive customer service to make their lives easier. Martin brings valuable knowledge and expertise to this important role to deliver the strong performance we are expecting from these accounts."

Scarrett has worked for MMA for 16 years. Prior to his role as Household Underwriting Manager, he held positions as Business Change Manager and Electronic Distribution Manager.

Scarrett’s role represents further strengthening of MMA’s senior management team following the most recent appointments of John Seaton, Dan Andrews and Ian Josephs.
